Abstract
A new four-phase current distribution strategy is proposed to decouple the electromagnetic force for the novel 6-DOF maglev motor. First, the motor configuration is presented. The electromagnetic force model of the motor is established. Then, the concept of ac axis current Iq, dc axis current Id and electric angle θ is introduced in the case of ignoring the harmonic components of electromagnetic forces, and the relationship among Iq, Id and four-phase winding current of the motor's stator is deduced. Thus, the decoupling electromagnetic force model is obtained. Finally, the simulation results show that the error between the desired electromagnetic force and decoupling electromagnetic force is small, and which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
