Abstract
This paper proposes a model predictive control (MPC) strategy for a three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverter permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (PMLSM) drive system considering Common-Mode Voltage (CMV) suppression. The traditional finite set model predictive control (FS-MPC) has the problems of large calculation amount and large current ripple. The method proposed in this paper is also based on FS-MPC. The difference is that the number of switch combinations corresponding to the space voltage vector is reduced to suppress CMV, and the switch combination traversed at the current moment is adjacent to the optimal switch combination at the previous moment. The simulation results show that the control method has good performance in both steady state and dynamic performance, which verifies the effectiveness of this method.
