Abstract
The paper designs a novel transverse flux permanent magnet linear motor with the flux-concentrated of three side wall in the mover. In order to improve the overall electromagnetic performances of the motor, a multi-objective optimization design method based on the combined response surface method and particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed. Firstly, the basic structure and work principle of the transverse flux permanent magnet linear motor are introduced. Secondly, in order to identify significant design variables without bias of interaction effects between optimization variables, the sensitivity analysis of the optimal variables of the motor is carried out. Furthermore, the response surface model based on Box-Behnken method is constructed by selecting the optimal variables with significant sensitivity value. Thirdly, the optimal structural parameters of the motor are obtained by particle swarm optimization. Finally, the electromagnetic performance of the optimized motor is calculated and analyzed by three-dimensional finite element method, and the effectiveness of the proposed multi-objective optimization method is verified.
