Abstract
Magnetic barrier coupled primary permanent magnet linear motor (MBCPPMLM) has broad application potential in rail transit drive system. In order to improve the operation reliability, this paper studies the temperature field of MBCPPMLM. Based on the analysis and elaboration of the heating mechanism of the motor, with the help of the finite element analysis software, the three-dimensional simulation model of the motor is built, the temperature field is simulated and analyzed, and the temperature field distribution law of the motor under the condition of natural convection is obtained. The fan cooling system is used to suppress the temperature rise of the motor. Through the finite element analysis software, the highest temperature of this kind of motor is armature winding. Under the natural convection condition, the highest temperature can reach 111.79 ℃. After using the fan cooling system, the highest temperature of armature winding drops to 65.86 ℃, decreasing by 45.93 ℃. It has a significant effect on the temperature rise control of the motor. It provides a reference value for the research of temperature rise and cooling system of this kind of motor.
