Abstract
This paper presents an analytical method for predicting magnetic field of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous machine (SPMSM) with rotor eccentricity. The surface current is added to stator so as to compensate the MMF drop across stator teeth. An equivalent transformation method is proposed to solve the analytical calculation problem resulted from rotor eccentricity. Then the subdomain method is adopted to calculate magnetic field of the eccentric machine. The proposed method is evaluated on the 6p/36s and 8p/12s SPMSM, and exhibits good agreement with the FEM results.
