Abstract
The springless linear oscillatory machine (SLOM) can overcome the defects of large mass, large volume and high cost caused by mechanical springs, making it a prevailing solution for the linear compressor system. In this paper, an electromagnetic analysis of a springless linear oscillatory machine is carried out via established the equivalent magnetic circuit model, which divides the SLOM into a multi-segment structure, and takes the influence of the leakage flux into consideration. Simulation results show that the analytical model can well calculate the electromagnetic characteristics of the motor.
